 Great!  I've considered doing this, but it wouldn't happen sooner than in
a couple months...  Good luck with the task.

 Note you should really use the existing AC97 driver (for some strange
reason classified as a PCI device), which lefts just the serial glue to be
handled as a "sound controller".
