Is it possible to lock a remote repository where you have 'bk://' address to the server?

I have an address to a bk server using the bk:// prefix:
bk://lbk/repo_name

but this command doesn't work:
bk lock -r bk://lbk/repo_name

Is it possible to lock a repository given its bk://* name? Or am I required to use the NFS path to the repo?
